Team Kemfet Beats Mythical Five in Family Feud

Team Kemfet represented by Beni Blanco won the 45K grand jackpot of the Family Feud Event last January 19, 2014 at the Metro Card Club Davao.

 With a registration fee of 2,500, eighteen (18) teams composed of 5 members each joined the tournament to get a seat to the semi-finals and the finals. Two (2) top players in each table competed for the Top 10 spot in the Finals. Winner takes all the pot amounting to Php 45,000.




 The players who got the top 18 spot for the semi-finals were:

Anton Joseph Kumar of Team Abapo ended the semi final round as the bubble having these finalists (in seat order) for the 45K pot:

Eugene Ang turned out to be the chip leader with a stack of 76,075 followed by Philip with a chip stack of 61,050.Lowest chip stack before the final round went to Peter J of DDS with a stack of 17,850.

First to exit the Final Table was Jemar Cadangdang of Atchup. Each player used their Lifelines, "Call a Friend" and "Call a Team" where they can seek the advice of their co-member or friend for difficult levels.

The exit of Nate Lorenzana in the final 3 signaled the showdown between Beni and Philip to fight for the 45K pot.

With blinds 6000/12000, Beni and Philip competed for the pot. Philip went all in for his cards (9,A) and Beni called for it (6,5). Beni scooped the pot having a pair of 5 on the board.
